Property Sales Have Increased by 16.82 %


Turkish Statistics Institute (TurkStat) has announced property sales data of the 4th quarter of 2011. According to these, 118.867 homes have changed hands in this quarter and there was recorded a 16.82% property sales increase compared with the previous quarter.

The highest sales increase in the 4th quarter (October, November, December) 2011has reached 31,12% in comparison with the previous quarter and was recorded in Istanbul (TR10). Another regions having high sales increase rates compared with the previous quarter are: Erzurum, Erzincan, Baybrut (TRA1) 30,79%; Mardin, Batman, Sirnak, Siirt (TRC3) 29,96%; Antalya, Isparta, Burdur (TR61) 29,21 and Izmir(TR31) 25,06%.

In the same quarter there was recorded sales decrease at regional level, compared with the previous quarter, in following regions: Van, Mus, Bitlis, Hakkari (TRB2) – 14,13%; Zonguldak, Karabuk, Bartin (TR81) – 3,50%; Kirikkale, Aksaray, Nigde, Nevsehir, Kirsehir (TR71) – 0,33%.

Property sales increased by 21,89% in the 4th quarter of 2011 compared with the same quarter of the previous year. There was a substantial property sales increase in all regions in this quarter compared with the same quarter of the previous year. The regions showing the highest increase rates are the following: Kocaeli, Ssakarya, Duzce, Bolu, Yalova (TR42) 93,07%; Tekirdag, Edirne, Kiriklareli (TR21) 36,70; Erzurum, Erzincan, Baybrut (TRA1) 36,47; Mardin, Batman, Sirnak, Siirt (TRC3) 35,85; Antalya, Isparta, Burdur (TR61) 34,14.
